While most of the cars are still in one piece, they seem to have been sitting in Ron’s Auto Salvage, in Allison, Iowa, a long time.

Ron’s Auto Salvage sells pre-loved vintage cars and used parts, but it seems that Ford products are a favourite.

An entire fleet of Ford Mustangs can be found rusting away in the greenery.

Some of which include a 1967 Ford Fairlane, a 1956 Ford FH00, and a 1973 Ford Thunderbird.

Around the corner is a rapidly rotting Volkswagen Beetle.

With a 65-year production run, it happens to be one of the most successful and iconic cars ever created.

Out of 21.5 million examples produced, around 5 million of them were exported to the US.

Meanwhile, one of the oldest car of the bunch appears to be the Chevrolet 1949.

It seems to be rather corroded but the rest of the body panels appear in good knick.

One of the more youthful residents is the Chrysler Lebaron which dates between 1993 and 1995.

It’s a face-lifted third generation Chrysler Lebaron convertible which dates it to between 1993 and 1995.

It’s easily identifiable due to its flush headlamps which replaced the rectractable hidden lights of the earlier cars.

Along with selling some rarities, auto salvage has also received some gleaming reviews.

One person said in 2015: “I have known Ron since I was a young pup.. Have had a ‘few’ end up out here.

“Ron has always been great to work with!!”

While a second person said in 2020: “I recommend Ron’s to just go see for yourself & talk with him. He has a lot of good stuff! the old stuff.”
