MAINGEAR teams up with Shroud for a signature edition gaming PC

This week at CES, MAINGEAR is kicking things off with a bang with its newly announced Shroud Signature Edition gaming PC. In partnership with popular streamer Shroud, MAINGEAR has put together a powerful desktop that both impresses with its design and performance alike. It’s also worth noting that MAINGEAR will sell this system in a non-Shroud model. For those who don’t really want the Shroud signature and detailing on their hardware.

That being said, the Shroud parts of the design are pretty minimal. Plus, they come with a cool serialized badge on the back with the build date information. The badge also lists the CPU and GPU models. In terms of specs, MAINGEAR is leaving nothing on the table here. Like with most or all of its custom gaming PCs, the Shroud Signature Edition can be put through the configurator on the MAINGEAR website. This allows buyers to build their PC to the spec they want with various options for, GPUs, motherboards, RAM, storage, and more.

Some of the custom options include horizontal and vertical GPU mounts, chassis color, and a variety of choices for other components. If you don’t want to mess with all that, MAINGEAR is selling the system with a specific spec to make things easy.

The MAINGEAR Shroud Signature Edition PC gets hand-picked components

While the configurator option will be nice for consumers, it’s also an extra step to go through and select everything yourself. If you’re someone who wants the best of the best, you can leave all the decisions in MAINGEAR’s hands. The team worked with Shroud to design the PC and pick the best components out there.

It starts with an HAVN HS 420 VGPU chassis. Inside, the PC is housing the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU. This is widely recognized as the fastest gaming CPU on the market. As for the GPU, MAINGEAR only says that these will be options from NVIDIA’s latest top-tier GPUs. The company doesn’t mention any models specifically, however. Our hope is that these will be from the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series.

Again though, MAINGEAR hasn’t specified what these cards are. So it’s entirely possible they could all be GeForce RTX 4090 GPUs. For the rest of the specs, the PC comes with an AsRock Phantom Gaming X870E Nova Wi-Fi motherboard, 48GB of T-Force Xtreem ARGB 8000MHz CL34 RAM, a 2TB T-Force Cardea A440 Gen4 M.2 SSD, a 1200W FSP PTM Pro Gen5 80+/Cybernetics Platinum power supply, and an Epic 420mm AIO cooler. In short, it’s a beast.

The really cool part about this PC, though, is the angled fan mount. There are three fans on the top, two at the back, and three at the bottom. The bottom fans are angled with a glass GPU airflow intake director. It’s a sleek look and should help push air directly where it needs to go.

There’s also an LCD screen on the inside which you should be able to customize. All-in-all, you can push your games to the limit on this PC.

Pricing and availability are coming soon

The only unfortunate thing about this PC is that it doesn’t have a confirmed release date. MAINGEAR merely says that it’s coming soon. As for the price, while there’s no confirmation here either, it won’t be cheap. Not with the specs that MAINGEAR has selected.

That being said, if you want the best, it’s always going to cost you. While MAINGEAR hasn’t set a release date yet, it is allowing customers to reserve their spot in the build queue for these systems with a risk-free $100 deposit. This deposit is fully refundable and it goes toward the purchase price. So it’s a good idea to go through with it.
