A MAJOR A-road has been closed for “several hours” due to a fallen tree, causing traffic delays as drivers are urged to avoid the area.
Warwickshire Police have issued a warning on X for motorists to avoid using the A452 in Blackdown after a tree fell, blocking the road.
Traffic near Kenilworth Road and towards the A46 is building while authorities work to remove the tree.
Officers are urging drivers to follow diversion routes and avoid the area, as the road is set to be closed for “several hours”.
In the post on X, Warwickshire Police wrote: “Please be aware the A452 in Blackdown is blocked due to a fallen tree.
“Traffic is building up on the nearby Kenilworth Road and towards the A46, so please follow diversions and avoid the area in you can.
“The road will be closed for several hours while the tree is removed.”
