Samsung seems to have taken a radically different approach than its competitors in the smartphone segment. Most rival companies are integrating powerful hardware setups and huge camera sensors. However, the South Korean giant is heavily relying on AI-powered user experience and image processing. A recent leak even says that the Galaxy S25 series will surprise when it comes to AI implementation.
The Galaxy S25 series still has many AI-powered surprises hidden
Tipster Ice Universe claimed that the “Samsung Galaxy S25 will tell Apple what leading AI is.” When Apple introduced its Apple Intelligence suite, many were impressed. However, the features took a long time to arrive—many are not yet available—and rivals have improved theirs. So, Apple’s alleged advantage has been left behind. The leaker’s post seems to reference this.
While it didn’t offer any more specific details, the X/Twitter post also states that “many new AI functions of S25 have not been leaked so far, which is very surprising to me.” This suggests that Samsung will not only improve the current Galaxy AI features. It’s possible that the company is hiding some exciting AI-related surprises that we are not yet aware of.
Samsung wants to be the leader in mobile AI
The leak happened the same week that Samsung executives said its goal for 2025 is to become the clear leader in putting AI into mobile devices. To do so, it will use a strategy called “Super Gap,” which consists of implementing even more advanced technologies where the company is already ahead of its competitors. This will widen the gap and give the feeling that they are “unreachable,” gaining a competitive advantage in the market.
Before that, Samsung revealed that it was working on implementing knowledge graph tech for faster and more accurate AI responses. Perhaps the AI features of the Galaxy S25 series will show us the fruits of all this work.
According to leaks, the launch of the devices is just around the corner. Samsung could hold its first Unpacked event of 2025 on January 22 or 23.
