Mark Zuckerberg has sung a song with T-Pain. The collaboration is as wacky as it sounds because Mark Zuckerberg sings Lil’ Jon’s “Get Low,” which is an R-rated song, with T-Pain.
Mark Zuckerberg sings Lil Jon’s ‘Get Low’ and posts it on Instagram
In what could be one of the most unexpected collaborations, Meta CEO has collaborated with singer T-Pain. The duo has sung an acoustic version of Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz’s “Get Low”.
The Facebook founder, and CEO of one of the biggest tech companies, reportedly posted an Instagram Story with a picture of the pair together with the caption, “It’s happening guys.” T-Pain then posted the same image, referring to Zuckerberg as “Z” while claiming, “It is time…”. The two even formed a group called Z-Pain, and they have their own page on Spotify.
“Get Low” was first released way back in 2002. However, the third single from Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz’s album Kings of Crunk, the song became the breakthrough single for the group. The song managed to get to No. 2 on both the Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. It even topped the Hot Rap Songs chart.
Why did the Meta CEO sing an R-rated song with T-Pain?
In an Instagram post, Zuckerberg revealed that he had collaborated with T-Pain on the track to serve as an anniversary present for his wife, Priscilla Chan.
“‘Get Low’ was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party, so every year we listen to it on our dating anniversary. This year I worked with @tpain on our version of this lyrical masterpiece. Sound on for the track and also available on Spotify. Love you P ❤️.”
Zuckerberg has reportedly acknowledged the song is “pretty vulgar”. Regardless, T-Pain and Zuckerberg have significantly slowed down the tempo and deeply enunciated the lyrics. The duo is seen strumming their acoustic guitars while signing the song.
The song could also emphasize how Meta is the “opposite of Apple, “ even if the company is facing hefty fines similar to the iPhone maker. Alternatively, Zuckerberg could be trying to divert attention from the uncertain future of his company.
