Meizu makes a comeback at MWC 2025 with Note 22 and mblu 22


Chinese smartphone brand Meizu has made a comeback in the smartphone market after a long absence. The company has introduced the Meizu Note 22, mblu 22, and mblu 22 Pro handsets at the ongoing MWC 2025 trade show. Meizu’s mblu 22 is an entry-level offering powered by the Go Edition of Android 15. As for the Meizu Note 22 and mblu 22 Pro, they are mid-range smartphones that run Android 15 with the brand’s Flyme skin on top.

Meizu Note 22 is a mid-range offering with a 108MP main camera

Introduced in Barcelona at MWC 2025, the Meizu Note 22 features a 6.78-inch display with 1,080p resolution and an LCD screen panel. A MediaTek Helio G99 processor is at the helm to take care of the performance side of things. The phone will be available in two RAM and storage configurations – 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB.

For imaging, Meizu has fitted the Note 22 with a 108MP primary camera and a 32MP selfie snapper. There’s no information regarding the other two rear lenses of the smartphone. The handset comes with an IR blaster, NFC connectivity, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 40W fast charging.

Meizu mblu 22 and mblu 22 Pro features

Meizu’s mblu 22 entry-level phone gets a 6.79-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution. An unknown Unisoc processor powers the phone. The company has paired the chipset with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of native storage. The other features of the handset include a 13MP main camera, a 5MP selfie snapper, loud stereo speakers, and a 5,000mAh battery.

Coming to the Meizu mblu 22 Pro, the phone has the same screen size as the mblu 22, but supports a higher refresh rate, probably 90Hz. The handset has an upgraded 50MP main camera and an 8MP front shooter. It has the same 5,000mAh battery as the vanilla variant but supports 18W fast charging. Meizu has powered the phone with a MediaTek Helio G81 chip. The SoC is accompanied by up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

All new Meizu phones announced at MWC 2025 will be available in attractive hues. Meizu hasn’t yet revealed any details regarding the pricing and availability of the new Note and mblu series phones. It’s worth mentioning that Meizu decided to quit the smartphone business to focus on AI last year. So, let’s see what the future holds for the brand in 2025.
