Dane DeHaan is the latest addition to the cast of the “Neuromancer” series currently in the works at Apple TV+.
Additional cast members in the adaptation of the William Gibson novel of the same name include Callum Turner, Briana Middleton, Mark Strong, Joseph Lee, Cleménce Poésy, and Peter Sarsgaard.
The official logline for “Neuromancer” states that it “follows a damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case (Turner) who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high stakes crime with his partner Molly (Middleton), a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes, aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.”
DeHaan will play Peter Riviera.
DeHaan’s recent TV credits include the Netflix Western drama “American Primeval,” the Max true crime series “The Staircase,” and the Amazon crime series “ZeroZeroZero.” He also previously starred in the Apple series “Lisey’s Story” and appeared in shows like “In Treatment” and “True Blood” earlier in his career. In film, DeHaan is known for his work in “Oppenheimer,” “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets,” and “Chronicle.”
He is repped by Gersh, MGMT Entertainment, and Sloane Offer.
“Neurmancer” hails from co-creators Graham Roland and JD Dillard. Roland will also serve as showrunner, while Dillard will direct the pilot. Both are executive producers along with: Gibson; David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance Television; Anonymous Content; Drake, Adel “Future” Nur and Jason Shrier for DreamCrew Entertainment; and Zack Hayden. Skydance Television will co-produce with Anonymous Content and Apple Studios.
