The Nintendo Alarmo sound clock can now be picked up at Target, which means it’s now more widely available to the general public. Nintendo announced the Alarmo sound clock in October of last year, so this isn’t a new product. However, when it launched last year, it was only available directly from Nintendo. It was also exclusively available to subscribers of Nintendo’s Switch Online service.
This week’s launch at retailers marks the wider availability to anyone who cares to have one of these sitting on their nightstand. In other words, that could be you if you want a less boring alarm. The Alarmo sound clock still retails for $99.99 so there’s no shift in the price as of yet. However, now that it’s available at retailers outside of Nintendo’s online shop, there’s a better chance now than ever that it will get a discount at some point.
The Nintendo Alarmo sound clock is available at Target and Walmart
If you’re looking to get your hands on one of these, you can pick it up at more than just Target. It’s also now available at Walmart. We also checked Best Buy, and it’s available there for $99.99 as well. It doesn’t appear to be available on Amazon, however. So if that’s where you do a lot of your online shopping, you’ll have to get this elsewhere.
It’s also worth mentioning that the other three retailers should have it in stores. That means you can order it online and have it ready for pickup if you don’t want it delivered. That gives you the opportunity to pick it up the same day. Nintendo’s launch of the Alarmo sound clock at retailers is part of its Mario Day celebration, which really is the perfect time to expand the availability of the product, given that Mario is the general theme of the device.
Nintendo Alarmo lets you wake up to 35 different scenes based on Nintendo games
With 35 different scenes to choose from, Alarmo is anything but boring. There are scenes based on Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and several more games. You can also link your Nintendo account to download additional scenes. Nintendo says more will be added as part of future updates. It doesn’t mention when these updates are coming, but you will need Alarmo connected to the internet to download them.
In addition to the different themes, Alarmo also has Sleepy Sounds based on your chosen theme. It lets you track and review how much you moved around while you slept. So, in a way, it’s kind of a sleep tracker in addition to being an alarm clock.
