The Nubia Z70 Ultra has just been announced in China. This is the company’s latest flagship smartphone. It does come with a truly interesting, and many would say appealing design.
The Nubia Z70 Ultra is a camera-centric alternative to the RedMagic 10 Pro gaming handset
First and foremost, do note that this phone has the same display as the RedMagic 10 Pro gaming smartphones. The screen-to-body ratio on the phone is over 95%, and the bezels are the thinnest in the business.
This smartphone, as you can see, doesn’t have a display camera hole or anything like that. It utilizes an under-display camera. It’s made out of metal and glass, while it has a rather odd-looking camera setup on the back. There is also a camera key on the right, as this is a camera-centric phone.
It has a big and beautiful display with an under-display camera
There is a 6.85-inch 2688 x 1216 1.5K OLED display on the front. It’s flat, and it offers a 144Hz refresh rate. A 960Hz touch sampling rate is also on offer, as the display goes up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. High-frequency PWM dimming is also included.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC fuels this smartphone. The phone comes with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and it offers UFS 4.0 flash storage. Android 15 comes pre-installed, along with Nubia’s Nebula AIOS.
There are two nano SIM cards included here. A 6,150mAh battery is also a part of the package, as is 80W fast wired charging. Bluetooth 5.4 is on offer, while this smartphone is both IP68 and IP69 certified. It includes an in-display fingerprint scanner too, and an IR blaster as well.
Three compelling cameras sit on the back
There are three cameras included on the back. Its main camera is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 sensor (1/1.56-inch sensor, f/1.59-f/4.0 variable aperture, OIS). A 50-megapixel ultrawide unit (OmniVision OV50D, 120-degree FoV, f/2.2 aperture, macro mode) is also included. The third camera on the back is a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto unit (1/2-inch sensor, OIS). There is also a 16-megapixel under-display camera on the front.
Stereo speakers are also a part of the package, and there are three microphones on the device. DTS:X Ultra support is also on offer, as are dual X-axis linear motors.
The Nubia Z70 Ultra comes in 12GB, 16GB, and 24GB RAM options in China. The pricing starts at CNY4,599 ($635) and goes up to CNY6,299 ($869). It will go on sale starting on November 25. The global launch will take place on November 26.
