One simple change slashes your BT broadband bill and boost your speeds at the same time

If BT is your chosen internet supplier and your current contract has ended then it might be worth checking out some new deals from Plusnet. This Internet Service Provider (ISP) – which is actually owned by BT – is currently offering some mighty discounts including price cuts to its fastest speeds. That means you can switch things over and get 900Mbps downloads for just £37.99.

As a quick comparison, BT usually charges £59.99 for similar speeds – although there is currently a deal which drops that down to £44.99. Even with BT’s sale, Plusnet still beats its bigger and more popular sibling on price. Both BT broadband and Plusnet use BT’s Openreach fibre technology so switching should be pretty straightforward.

As a quick guide, 900Mbps speeds will allow you to whizz a full HD movie to your TV in under a minute which is 10 times faster than ageing 70Mbps copper lines can muster. The only thing you’ll need to check is that Full Fibre has been installed in your area – if it has you should be good to go.

If that sounds too fast for your needs there are some other deals including Full Fibre 300 (300Mbps) for just £28.99 or Full Fibre 500 (500Mbps) for £31.99.
