OnePlus 13 launch date is official, design confirmed

OnePlus has just announced the launch date of its new flagship, the OnePlus 13. In addition to that, the company has also confirmed the design of the upcoming device. In other words, it confirmed recently-leaked images.

The OnePlus 13 launch date has been announced

With that being said, the OnePlus 13 will become official on October 31. It will launch in the company’s homeland, China. As per usual, OnePlus opted for a dual launch strategy. The global launch will follow later on.

The launch event will kick off at a 4 PM China time. That translates to 10 AM CET / 9 AM BST / 4 AM EST / 1 AM PST, in case you’re interested. The event will be in Chinese, though. Most of you will likely want to wait for a global launch event.

The phone is coming in three colors

OnePlus also confirmed the design of the device by sharing images of all three color variants that are coming. You can check out all three of them in the gallery provided below.

OnePlus will make black, white, and blue models available in China. These colors will be called Obsidian Black, Dew Morning Light, and Blue Moment, respectively. That’s based on machine translation, so keep that in mind. The global names could be different. It remains to be seen what colors will be on offer globally, by the way.

You’ll notice a camera oreo on the back of the device, with three cameras inside of it. The LED flash also sits inside that circle. Hasselbald’s branding is also visible back there. Physical buttons sit on the right-hand side, along with an alert slider. A flat display is included this time around, along with flat sides, unlike what we’ve see on the OnePlus 12.

We can expect many “industry firsts” from this phone, said OnePlus China head

OnePlus China head, Louis Jie, said the following: “You will never find a more comprehensive and balanced flagship phone than OnePlus 13. We just want to break the rules and redefine the standard version with the concept of “surpassing Pro”. He also said that we can expect plenty of “industry firsts” on this phone, such as the BOE X2 display.

The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite aka Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. A 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s LYT-808) is expected, along with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, amongst other specs. Check out a bunch of additional images below.
