The OnePlus Ace 5 arrived in China this month as the company’s latest mobile flagship killer. The device boasts an impressive set of tech specs and an aggressive price tag that puts it at the top of its segment. According to reports, the phone will hit the global market under the name OnePlus 13R. Now, leaked official renders of the OnePlus 13R confirm that it will be identical to its Chinese counterpart.
OnePlus 13R renders confirm it will be available in fewer colors than its Chinese counterpart
Leaker @MysteryLupin has shared official-looking renders of the OnePlus 13R on X/Twitter. The images show the design of the device from all angles, leaving little to nothing to the imagination. The post also confirms that the phone will be available in global markets in a couple of colors: gold and grey/black. The slightly dimmed finish on both colors adds an extra touch of elegance to the design. Sadly, it looks like the green and silver colorways of the OnePlus Ace 5 won’t be leaving the Chinese market for now.
In terms of design, the OnePlus 13R is quite different from its predecessor. The company has opted for minimalism in the camera module by removing the seam with the edge of the device. However, the camera island is still circular and houses three sensors, so there are still recognizable design lines from previous models. The look of the OnePlus 13 is also said to differ noticeably from the OnePlus 12.
In another notable change, the OnePlus 13R ditches the curved edges to embrace the current flat frame trend. The Alert Slider is on the left, and the power and volume up/down buttons are on the right. Moving to the front, the OnePlus 13R boasts very slim bezels around the display. The bezels are also symmetrical, which adds to the overall aesthetics of the device. A small-sized punch hole still houses the front camera sensor.
Powerful tech specs: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 on board
The OnePlus 13R is a pretty powerful device when it comes to specs. There’s the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip assisted by LPDDR5X RAM (up to 16GB in China). There’s also UFS 4.0 storage on board. The phone packs a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 2780 x 1264 px resolution and up to 4,500 nits of brightness. Lastly, it runs Android 15 out of the box under the custom ColorOS 15 UI that comes with AI-powered features from the brand.
