The OnePlus Open 2 has been all over the news lately, and most of the information referred to its launch date. Based on the latest piece of news, the OnePlus Open 2 will be coming in Q1 2025 after all.
The OnePlus Open 2 will be coming in Q1 2025 after all, it would seem
This information comes from Yogesh Brar, who claims that “the launch is happening sooner than what is being reported”. He’s referring to a recent rumor that the OnePlus Open 2 will launch in H2 2025.
The tipster also said that he’ll be dropping more details about this later in the week. This information is probably accurate. Why? Well, because the OPPO Find N5 is coming in Q1 2025.
OPPO’s Product Manager said that the OPPO Find N5 will launch before the OPPO Find X8 Ultra. The OPPO Find X8 Ultra will launch in Q1 2025, so… there you go. Both of them will be launching in the first quarter of next year.
The OPPO Find N3 and OnePlus Open launched at the same time, basically, last year, so it’s looking more and more likely that the same will happen with their successors. OnePlus and OPPO are planning to launch the devices at a different time in a year, though.
OnePlus’ second-gen book-style foldable will likely be identical to the OPPO Find N5
Those two smartphones will likely be identical, as their predecessors were. In some markets, we’ll get the OnePlus Open 2, and in others, the OPPO Find N5.
Based on the information that leaked thus far, the OnePlus Open 2 and its cousin will be thinner and lighter this time around. An improved camera setup is also expected, even though the cameras on the back of these two phones are still great.
On top of that, an SoC bump is also expected. The previous models are fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, while the next-gen ones will utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite, if the rumors are to be believed.
