The OnePlus 13T was announced recently as the company’s high-end compact smartphone. The thing is, the phone was announced in China only, and we were wondering if the global variant will ever become a thing. Well, the very first global model of the OnePlus 13T is coming, under a new name, the OnePlus 13s.
The OnePlus 13s is the OnePlus 13T for India and possibly other global markets, it’s coming soon
This is something that OnePlus basically confirmed. It shared images of the OnePlus 13T, but attached a new name to it, as you can see below. This comes directly from OnePlus India, by the way, with a ‘coming soon’ tagline.
In addition to this, OnePlus also confirmed that the phone has a 6.32-inch display and that it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. In other words, just like the OnePlus 13T: So… this is the OnePlus 13T, even though OnePlus didn’t specifically mention it.
This gives us hope for other markets as well. The sheer fact it’s launching in India leaves room for its announcement in other markets. It’s even possible it will launch as the OnePlus 13T elsewhere, it remains to be seen.
We’re not sure if it’ll launch in the US or Europe
Many of you reading this are probably wondering if it’s coming to the US and/or Europe. Well, we’re not sure. OnePlus’ launch strategies for some devices include only China and India, and this could be one of them.
If we had to guess, however, we’d say that the phone will launch in Europe. The US, on the other hand, is a different story. Trump tariffs complicate things quite a bit, and OnePlus could opt not to push this handset over there. It remains to be seen.
If OnePlus plans to launch the device in Europe or the US, chances are we’ll hear about that soon.
