OPPO Find N5 bags several certifications ahead of launch

The OPPO Find N5 has just popped up on several certifications as we’re waiting for the device to become official. We’re looking at three certifications here, SIRIM in Malaysia, SDPPI in Indonesia, and the Camera FV 5 database too.

The OPPO Find 5 appeared on several certifications as we’re waiting for its launch

The phone appeared with the model number CPH2671. The only listing that revealed some actual details that we can talk about is the Camera FV 5 database. It did provide some camera-related information.

Its main camera is listed as a 12.6-megapixel unit. That won’t be the case, but considering this is Camera FV 5, we’re looking at an effective resolution after 4-in-1 pixel binning. That means that the phone will actually use a 50-megapixel main camera, as expected.

The front-facing camera is listed as a 7.1-megapixel unit, which is the result of a pixel binning of a 28.4-megapixel sensor. We’re probably looking at a 32–32-megapixel snapper here, though. Chances are that a 32-megapixel camera will be used on both the main and cover displays, but we’ll see.

Its 50-megapixel main camera will allegedly use an f/1.9 aperture lens

The main camera is also said to use an f/1.9 aperture lens, while the selfie camera will use an f/2.4 aperture lens. That’s basically all the information that Camera FV 5 shared.

Some OPPO Find N5 specs did leak not long ago, though, so we know what to expect. The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Three 50-megapixel cameras are expected on the back, including a periscope telephoto unit.

A 5,900mAh battery is also rumored, and the same goes for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device will allegedly also offer an IPX8 rating for water and dust resistance.

If this ends up being true, it will offer a much higher battery capacity than its predecessor, and also add wireless charging to the mix. The phone is also said to be thinner and lighter than the OPPO Find N3.

The device is tipped to launch in early 2025. The OnePlus Open 2 will be identical to the OPPO Find N5, at least that’s what’s expected based on their predecessors.
