These past couple of years haven’t been great for Intel, but the company isn’t done fighting. It’s been working on its latest CPUs to fend off the competition, and people waiting for them are in for a treat. Intel opened pre-orders for its new Arrow Lake CPUs, but don’t get too excited.
It’s announcement season, as companies are getting ready for CES. The event will take place from January 7th to the 10th. We expect to see some of the most exciting and futuristic tech from top tech brands. If you’re excited about this event, mark your calendar and stay tuned to Android Headlines for the coverage.
Intel quietly puts its Arrow Lake CPUs on pre-order
Right now, we don’t know too much about these chips, but we know that they will be powerful. The Intel Chinese account announced that the Core Ultra 200 non-K CPUs are now available for pre-order. They’ll officially be available for purchase on January 13th, shortly after CES ends.
As stated by Tom’s Guide, this chip might share many similarities with the existing Core Ultra 285K. However, this version may not be able to be overclocked. We don’t know that 100%. However, the announcement mentioned that this new chip sports a new architecture and better power consumption. It almost sounds like the equivalent of the “S” variant of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon ships. It may not be as powerful as the Core Ultra 285K from the nomenclature.
You probably can’t pre-order it
If you’re excited to swipe your card, Intel only opened pre-orders in the Chinese market. That’s a bummer for the rest of the world. What makes it worse is the fact that we don’t know when it will come for other regions. It’s up in the air whether it will launch on January 13th for the rest of the available markets or if pre-orders will start sometime after.
While we don’t know too much about this chip or what it can do, we expect to hear more about it during CES.
