This time around we’re comparing two sister phones, the OnePlus 13 vs OPPO Find X8 Pro. OnePlus and OPPO are sister companies, they’re both under the BBK Electronics umbrella. These two companies even offer rather similar software on their devices. Well, these two phones are the current flagships of the two companies, the very best they have to offer, so comparing them should be interesting.
While there are similarities between the two phones, they are actually quite different. We’re not looking at a simple rebrand here, not at all. We’ve reviewed both devices and have a very good idea of what they have to offer. We’ll first compare their specs, and will then move to compare their designs, displays, performance, battery life, cameras, and audio output. Let’s get to it, shall we?

OnePlus 13 vs OPPO Find X8 Pro: Design
As you can see, from the front, these two phones look very similar. They both have a centered display camera hole up top, in the same spot. Their corner curvature is basically the same, while the bezels on both smartphones are thin and uniform. In fact, the bezel thickness is also very similar. Both phones also utilize the so-called quad micro-curved design. While both displays are flat, the glass on top of them is curved on all four sides. That curvature applies to both backplates as well.
The OnePlus 13 includes a power/lock and volume up and down buttons on the right-hand side. It has an alert slider on the left side. The same goes for the OPPO Find X8 Pro, but that phone includes an extra button on the right. That button is called the ‘Quick Button’, and it’s there to help you capture images quickly and accurately. Both smartphones have a flat frame all around, which is slightly rounded towards the edges, for comfort’s sake.
You’ll notice that both phones have a camera oreo on the back. Those camera modules are different, and so is their placement. The one on the OnePlus 13 is located in the top-left corner, and you’ll notice 2×2 setup for the four cutouts. Three of those are reserved for cameras. The OPPO Find X8 Pro has a centered camera oreo, with four cameras on the inside. We’re looking at a rhomb camera sensor placement here.
The OnePlus 13 has an ever so slightly larger display, and that phone is also slightly taller. The difference is minimal. The same goes for the width, though the OPPO Find X8 Pro is slightly wider. OnePlus’ handset is a bit thicker in comparison, and also lighter by a couple of grams. Both of them are made out of aluminum and glass, though the OnePlus 13 also comes in a vegan leather version. IP68 and IP69 certifications are a offered by both devices.
OnePlus 13 vs OPPO Find X8 Pro: Display
There is a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display included on the OnePlus 13. That display is flat, and it can project up to 1 billion colors. Its refresh rate is adaptive, from 1 to 120Hz. Dolby Vision is supported here, as is HDR10+ content. HDR Vivid support is also included in the package. The peak brightness here is 4,500 nits. The screen-to-body ratio is around 90%, while the resolution of the display is 3168 x 1440 pixels. The Ceramic Guard protects this display.

The OPPO Find X8 Pro includes a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display. That display is also flat, and it can project up to 1 billion colors. Its refresh rate is adaptive from 1 to 120Hz, and Dolby Vision is supported. HDR10+ content is also supported, while the display goes up to 4,500 nits in terms of brightness, in theory. The screen-to-body ratio is at around 90%, while the Gorilla Glass 7i protects the display. The resolution here is 2780 x 1264 pixels. Both displays offer Ultra HDR image support.
Both of these displays are excellent, actually. They’re vivid, have great viewing angles, and are more than sharp enough. They’re also very bright, that’s not an issue whatsoever. The touch response is good, and the blacks are as deep as you’d expect them to be. Both displays also offer high-frequency PWM dimming too, which is a plus. The quad micro-curved design is also a plus in our book, as you’re keeping the flat display, but get very nice edges for swiping. We really don’t have complaints about either of these two displays.
OnePlus 13 vs OPPO Find X8 Pro: Performance
The OnePlus 13 is fueled by Qualcomm’s most powerful chip, the Snapdragon 8 Elite. That is a 3nm processor, and it’s paired with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, globally (up to 24GB in China), it all depends on which variant you end up getting. UFS 4.0 flash storage is also used here. The OPPO Find X8 Pro, on the flip side, is fueled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400. That is also a 3nm chip, the most powerful one MediaTek has to offer. The phone comes with 12GB or 16GB of LPDD5X RAM, and UFS 4.0 flash storage.
Neither of these two smartphones supports expandable storage. They both do offer outstanding performance, though. MediaTek’s flagship is right up there with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, at least based on what we’ve seen across a number of smartphones, including these ones. The performance both devices offer is great, and that goes for both day-to-day tasks and more demanding tasks such as running high-end games. They’re both extremely snappy regardless of what you use them for. They can multitask like nobody’s business, and lag is simply not present.
You can run the most demanding games on both smartphones. Both of them are very capable in the cooling department too, and they never got too hot or anything like that. They only get quite warm during long and intense sessions, but that’s about it. You can easily use either of these two as gaming phones if you want.
OnePlus 13 vs OPPO Find X8 Pro: Battery
Both the OnePlus 13 and OPPO Find X8 Pro also come with silicon-carbon batteries. The former includes a 6,000mAh battery, while the latter ships with a 5,910mAh unit. Those are great battery capacities for any large-format smartphone, including these two. Yes, both of them are simply outstanding in terms of battery life, at least that was the case for us. These are actually some of the best battery life flagships in the market at the moment.
Both have been able to go the distance, even crossing the 9-hour screen-on-time mark with some battery backup left in the tank, when needed. The thing is, the OPPO Find X8 Pro was consistently a bit better than the OnePlus 13 in the battery department. It always managed to push a bit further, even though the difference was not that notable. Even power users will be happy with the battery life on both of these smartphones.
The OnePlus 13 supports 100W wired, 50W wireless, 10W reverse wireless, and 5W reverse wired charging. The OPPO Find X8 Pro, on the other hand, supports 80W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Needless to say, both smartphones are well-equipped in the charging department. The thing is, only the OPPO Find X8 Pro comes with a charger. This could be different in some markets, though.
OnePlus 13 vs OPPO Find X8 Pro: Cameras
The OnePlus 13 has three cameras on the back. It includes a 50-megapixel main camera (1/1.43-inch sensor size), a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit (1/2.75-inch sensor size, 120-degree FoV), and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (1/1.95-inch sensor size, 3x optical zoom).

The OPPO Find X8 Pro, on the other hand, has four cameras on the back. A 50-megapixel main camera (1/1.4-inch sensor size) is backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit (1/2.75-inch sensor size, 120-degree FoV). The first 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (1/1.95-inch sensor size) supports 3x optical zoom, while the second 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (1/2.75-inch sensor size) has 6x optical zoom. Both smartphones also have Hasselblad support and tunning.
The pictures coming from both phones are great, and they’re actually similar in terms of style. That’s not surprising considering the ties between the two companies, their software offerings, and Hasselblad. All three cameras do great job, and keep a similar color palette. The ultrawide is the weakest link on both smartphones, but that’s not to say it’s bad, not at all. The OPPO Find X8 Pro does have the advantage of having a faster shutter, and that does come in handy in some situations. The OnePlus 13 has a fast shutter too, but it’s a little bit behind in comparison. The periscope telephoto cameras on both phones do a great job, even in challenging lighting conditions.
Audio
Both the OnePlus 13 and OPPO Find X8 Pro come with a set of stereo speakers. The sound coming from both sets is of good quality, and both phones provide rather loud speakers too. The ones on the OnePlus 13 are a bit louder, though.
There is no audio jack on either one of these two smartphones. You can use their Type-C ports for wired audio connections, though, if you want. If not, Bluetooth 5.4 is on offer on both smartphones.
