Google is back with yet another #BestPhonesForever ad. As per usual, we’re following the adventures of Pixel and iPhone here, and this time around the two phones are actually Christmas presents.
Best friends, Pixel & iPhone, become Christmas presents this time around
As usual, Google used this video to promote its Pixel phones and their features. In this case, Gemini Live is front and center, with Circle to Search taking the back seat. Let’s take it from the top, though.

In this particular one, Pixel and iPhone are trapped in a box. Well, they’re trapped in separate boxes. iPhone asks Google to ask Gemini what to do in order to get out. Two of Gemini’s suggestions don’t work, but Google’s AI does help them in the end.
Gemini helps the two phones figure out they’re actually Christmas presents. Pixel is overjoyed, but the same cannot be said for iPhone. iPhone considers that it’s not ready to be a present. Google is poking fun at Apple’s delayed AI features here.
The video ends with a touching moment between friends
Following that, we have a nice, touching moment between friends, in which Pixel helps iPhone realize that he should be happy as is, wishful thinking is something else entirely.
It’s a nice, holiday-themed ad that we basically expected Google to launch. We, of course, did not know this exact ad was coming, but we did expect something Christmas-themed from these two adventurers.
Google has quite a few of these ads out there at the moment. The company keeps making them as they’re quite entertaining, and based on comments, people simply love consuming them. So it’s a win-win, an ad that people actually like to watch.
