Powerbeats Pro 2 get new firmware update from Apple – 9to5Mac

Apple just released new firmware for Powerbeats Pro 2, the first big update since the new Powerbeats first launched last month.

Latest firmware arrives a month after Powerbeats Pro 2’s launch

Powerbeats Pro 2 debuted in February as the long-awaited successor to Beats’ popular athlete-focused earbuds.

The new Powerbeats Pro include an Apple H2 chip, a slimmer design, and even heart rate monitoring ahead of the feature coming to AirPods Pro 3.

Apple originally shipped a firmware update before the new headphones launched, but today’s release is the first noteworthy update post-launch.

Today’s firmware is build 7B30, and currently we don’t know what changes are included. At a minimum, expect bug fixes and performance improvements.

That day one update previously available was 7B24.

Beats firmware updates are installed automatically while charging and in range of your paired iPhone or other device.

To check which firmware you’re currently running, visit the iOS Settings app, then open the Powerbeats Pro 2 settings at the top, and look for Version number in the About section.

Have you installed the new Powerbeats Pro 2 firmware? Notice any changes? Let us know in the comments.
