Razer has been making gaming peripherals for years and this year at CES, it’s announcing the Handheld Dock Chroma, as well as the Monitor Stand Chroma. Two new accessories to help enhance your gaming experience.
Following the big announcement yesterday evening for Razer’s next Blade 16 gaming laptop powered by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-Series GPUs, Razer is focusing its attention this morning on other components that comprise a gaming setup. The new Monitor Stand Chroma is designed to help elevate your monitor so it has a more ergonomic viewing angle. At the same time, it also frees up some desk space. Allowing users to store things underneath.
For even more organization, the Handheld Dock Chroma gives you a place to put your Steam Deck, ROG Ally X, or other handheld gaming PCs. Both peripherals offer Chroma RGB lighting and have a collection of ports for plugging in other devices. Both devices are available for pre-order starting today and will be available from Razer as well as its retail partners. The Handheld Dock Chroma will cost $79.99, and the Monitor Stand Chroma will cost $199.99.
The Razer Handheld Dock Chroma turns your handheld into a gaming console
This isn’t such a farfetched statement given the Nintendo Switch exists. Not to mention, several other docks for handhelds have been released from various brands. Including Valve with its Steam Deck Dock. Razer’s offering attempts to one-up the competition with its range of connectivity options.
There are six total ports including ethernet, HDMI out, and several USB connections. With this, users can slot their handheld into the dock and play games on their monitor. Meanwhile, the USB connections can be used for things like a mouse and keyboard. Additionally, Razer says the dock has 100W power passthrough. So you can easily keep the handheld charged while it’s docked.
The monitor stand aims to improve posture and reduce neck strain
If you sit in front of a computer monitor all day for work, then you know how much of a toll it can take on your health. Especially when paired with bad posture. The Monitor Stand Chroma was designed to fix this issue. It elevates your monitor to eye level so you don’t put as much stress on your neck during those long hours at your PC.
The stand itself is made from anodized aluminum and it can hold up to 44 pounds. So you shouldn’t have to worry about it supporting your monitor’s weight as long as it’s below that threshold. Additionally, the stand has four connectivity ports. One USB 3.2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Type-A, and one HDMI 2.0 port. Pair with this the Handheld Dock Chroma and you have a ton of ports! If you’re struggling to find extra desk space, both these accessories might be right up your alley.
