Realme GT 7 Pro is coming next month with Snapdragon 8 Elite

The Realme GT 7 Pro is coming next month with the all-new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The information comes straight from Realme, though the exact date was not mentioned. The Xiaomi 15 series is expected to become the first to become announced with that chip. What’s interesting is that Realme also mentioned, in its press release, that it will be first. We’re not sure if the company meant first to market (or some markets), but that’s a possibility.

The Realme GT 7 Pro will feature the all-new Snapdragon 8 Elite

Several Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphones are expected to become official this month, including the Xiaomi 15 series and the HONOR Magic7 Pro.

Realme said that the GT 7 Pro will become available in more than 10 countries and regions, including India, Italy, Spain, Malaysia, Thailand, and so on. For those of you who don’t know, Realme is one of the fastest-growing smartphone manufacturers out there.

Speaking of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, that chip was announced today, during Qualcomm’s event in Hawaii. It is the company’s new 3nm processor, which has a 2+6 setup, and an industry-leading clock speed that goes beyond 4GHz.

The company says that the ‘GT’ series of phones represents “the next-level performance flagship”. The words “technology” and “hardcore” have been emphasized when describing this smartphone series.

What we don’t have at the moment are the details about the phone itself, other than its chipset. Well, at least not official ones, as some details did surface online.

It is coming with 16GB of RAM and Android 15

The Realme GT 7 Pro appeared on Geekbench with 16GB of RAM. We don’t know if that will be the only setup, though. Android 15 was also mentioned in the listing, while Realme UI 6.0 will be available on top of it.

A 50-megapixel main camera was mentioned in rumors, Sony’s LYT-700 sensor could be used. A periscope telephoto camera will sit on the back too. An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner is expected, and the same goes for IP68/IP69 certification for water and dust resistance.

One rumor indicated that a 6.78-inch AMOLED display will be used. It will offer a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Realme GT 7 Pro could end up sporting a 6,500mAh battery.
