Roll to the polls with these free or discounted Election Day transportation offers – AOL


Companies and other organizations are helping to keep down your transportation costs on trips to the polls on Election Day.

Check out these deals to get you to the ballot box on Nov. 5, 2024.

Uber is offering a 50% discount on rides Tuesday.

Riders using the app Nov. 5 will see a “Go vote” option for 50% off up to $10. Uber also will offer 25% discounts, up to $15 each, off food orders of at least $25.

Lyft is offering 50% off rides up to $10, with the promo code VOTE24. The code also will work for Lyft scooters and bikes. The code is valid from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. in local time zones.

AARP Indiana is sponsoring fare-free rides on the public transit systems in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Gary and Evansville on Election Day.

The fare-free rides will be available all day.

Hertz users get one free with a minimum two-day rental at neighborhood locations. The offer is valid for pickups through Nov. 5, 2024.

Lime is offering free scooter and bike rides with the promo code VOTE2024. Users get two 30-minute rides.

Voters can get two free rides, up to 30 minutes each, to and from local polling stations by using the promo code ROCKTHEVOTE24 in the app.
