Model numbers for the successors of the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Z Fold 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition (SE) have been revealed, suggesting significant updates to the foldable series.
Model numbers and expected devices
Folks at Android Authority spotted Samsung’s 2025 foldable in One UI 7 beta firmware. As per the report, Samsung’s upcoming foldable devices include the Galaxy Z Flip 7 with model number SM-F751, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 with model number SM-F966, and the Galaxy Z Fold SE 2 with model number SM-F968. These model numbers adhere to Samsung’s traditional naming convention, where each new generation increases by 10. For instance, the Z Flip 6 (SM-F741) and Z Fold 6 (SM-F956) directly precede these successors.
In addition to the foldable, the One UI 7.0 beta also unveiled the model numbers for the 2025 Galaxy S25 lineup: SM-S931, SM-S936, and SM-S938. However, notably missing from the list were references to the rumoured Galaxy S25 Slim and the Galaxy Z Flip FE. While their absence doesn’t necessarily mean these mobile phones have been cancelled, it does raise questions about their current development status.
