If leaks are true, the Galaxy S25 series’ launch is just around the corner. Tipsters and insiders have revealed some of the key changes that Samsung’s new flagship phones will bring. We were the first to bring you exclusive renders with the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s new design , and now a set of pictures of dummy units show what the device could look like in the real world.
Dummy units show what the Galaxy S25 Ultra design could look like
It’s worth noting that there are some discrepancies between these dummies and what we’ve seen in the leaks. Roland Quandt, the source, claims that the dummies come from China. However, he also highlights some things to keep an eye out for. For example, the device does not feature a periscopic lens in its rear camera setup, something that our renders do include. Additionally, the rings surrounding the camera sensors are excessively “clean,” flat, and lack detail compared to what we showed you in September.
You can still use the rest of the design elements depicted on the dummy unit as a reference. At least the expected flatter design with more rounded corners is there. There’s no visible representation of the bezels around the display in the dummy units. However, our September renders revealed that Samsung will shrink them in comparison to those of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, as shown below.
Some expected improvements
Overall, everything points to the next-gen Galaxy Ultra flagship following a continuous line in terms of design language, but refining what was seen on its predecessor. However, it could have some improvements in its rear camera setup.
For example, fans of the lineup will enjoy a new 50MP ultra-wide sensor with a size of 1/2.52″ (1/2.55″ on the S24 Ultra). The sensor is also said to have a brighter aperture (f/1.9 vs f/2.2) than the previous generation model.
Of course, you can also expect improvements in areas such as the chipset, display, and software thanks to One UI 7. Samsung could even be developing some exclusive features for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, such as an “Object Eraser” feature for videos.
