Samsung launched its Good Lock application nearly a decade ago. It allows you to use a ton of customizations for the UI on Galaxy smartphones and tablets. However, even after almost a decade, Samsung hasn’t made it available to users in all countries. Fans have long criticized the South Korean tech giant for keeping the app to limited regions. However, Samsung will change this soon as it will launch the Good Lock app in more countries with the One UI 7 update.
Samsung will launch the Good Lock app in more regions via the Google Play Store
A Samsung representative has announced that the Good Lock app will launch in all countries. Furthermore, Samsung will also make the Good Lock app available via the Google Play Store with One UI 7. So far, the app has only been available via the Samsung Galaxy Store.
The company briefly offered the app in selected countries in May 2024. However, the company soon after removed the access from the Play Store for unknown regions. It will finally be available for users in all countries via both the Galaxy Store and the Play Store.
One UI 7 will also bring several new features to the Good Lock app
Furthermore, the Samsung community moderator has announced that the One UI 7 will bring several new features and customizations for the Good Lock app. The company will redesign the app, which will seemingly improve its usability, especially for new users. Notably, some of the notable changes will include a new “My Page” tab, which will allow you to quickly reset and manage many settings of the app.
There will also be a new filter functionality for the app. It will allow you to quickly find the features and functionalities related to a particular module. Furthermore, you will be able to place icons and widgets anywhere on the home screen. It will allow tweaking the home gesture animations, folders, and many more things. Also, the Camera Assistant app is going to offer a new feature. It will allow you to save recorded videos directly to an external storage device.
