Samsung has confirmed that it will begin rolling out the stable One UI 7 update to last year’s Galaxy smartphones on April 7, with the U.S. rollout set to begin on April 10. The older Android devices from Samsung will also receive the stable update, but on a later date. That said, the company hasn’t stopped beta testing One UI 7 for the older Galaxy phones just yet. Samsung has reportedly pushed the sixth and allegedly last One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy S24 series.
The Galaxy S24 series receives the sixth One UI 7 beta update
The One UI 7 update is based on Android 15 and is a quite big update for the Samsung Galaxy devices. You are in for new animations, new icons, and a smoother software experience. However, Samsung appears to be trying to squash bugs from One UI 7, leading to a frustrating stable rollout delay.
As the stable rollout date is on the horizon, Samsung has now pushed the One UI 7 Beta 6 for the Galaxy S24 series. Yesterday, folks over at SamMobile spotted a post on X by Indian tipster Tarun Vats with details about the One UI 7 Beta 6.
The alleged last One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy S24 series is live in South Korea, India, and Germany. As seen in the screenshot at the end, the changelog for the update is relatively very short. The latest beta update carries a firmware version ZYCE and brings new features, and fixes a few bugs.
The update adds a few features and squashes some bugs
Per the changelog, the latest beta update adds the ability to trigger Gemini with the help of the side button. The update also brings call recording summaries, Audio Eraser, an updated version of Sketch to Image, and more.
Notably, the One UI Beta 6 update for the Galaxy S24 series also fixes a few bugs. The latest update addresses issues that caused widgets to overlap, UI errors in the real-time playback notification, and more. Not to forget, the latest One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy S24 series has the same changelog as the One UI 7 Beta 3 for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6.
