Samsung finally debuted the Galaxy S25 series a couple of weeks ago. As expected, only the Galaxy S25 Ultra in the trio offers an S Pen. Samsung has redesigned the S Pen, making it lighter and battery-free. It also contributes to the phone’s reduced overall weight. However, the company has removed the built-in Bluetooth from the new S Pen. Despite not offering the built-in Bluetooth, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s S Pen’s replacement costs the same as the predecessor.
Galaxy S25 Ultra’s S Pen’s replacement cost is the same as the old model
Samsung recently revealed the cost to replace the new S Pen through its online store. As per the listing, the brand is still charging $49.99 to replace the new S Pen. Samsung charged the same price to replace the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s S Pen. Notably, many users of the Galaxy S Ultra series love the Bluetooth feature of the old-gen. It’s worth adding that Samsung said that less than one percent of S Pen users use Bluetooth features.
Notably, due to the presence of the Built-in Bluetooth module, last year’s S Pen had a higher manufacturing cost for Samsung. Since the new model lacks it, we expect the cost of hardware materials to be lower. So, many expected Samsung to offer a new S Pen replacement at a lower price tag than last year’s model.
It’s worth mentioning that thousands of users have created an online petition asking the brand to restore the Bluetooth feature. More than 6,000 users have demanded Samsung reintroduce Bluetooth support with the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s S Pen.
The new S Pen is available to buy now
Samsung’s online store in the US started selling the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s (review) S Pen a few hours ago. The accessory costs $49.99 a piece and comes in three colorways – Black, Light Gray, and Light Silver. The former two color options are available to buy, but the Light Silver edition is “Out of stock” at the moment.
