Samsung's AI could get the ability to tweak your phone's settings for you

Every day we see more AI integration in our favorite apps and services. The power of LLMs allows both to enable impressive features and speed up processes. They can also learn about your usage habits to adapt specific parameters to you. With that in mind, Samsung would be developing a feature that would automatically adjust certain options for you through the power of AI on Galaxy phones without you having to access the Settings menu.

South Korean media reports that Samsung wants to avoid you having to go through the Settings menu on your Galaxy device. The company would resort to AI’s learning capabilities to achieve this. In the future, this could lead to phones where you don’t have to go through the Settings menu ever again.

Samsung’s AI could save you from using the Settings menu in Galaxy phones

Initially, Samsung’s project does not seek to completely eliminate the Settings menu. The company would focus the new feature first on two key sections: keyboard and camera. Thanks to AI, your Galaxy phone would be able to analyze your usage patterns and establish the best settings so that you don’t have to. Basically, the AI-powered feature would anticipate your needs, automatically tweaking options to try and give you the best user experience.

The new feature would take AI implementation on Galaxy devices to a new level. Currently, Galaxy AI features on Samsung phones act according to your requirements, so you must first manually trigger them. However, in the future, Samsung would bring even more advanced AI capabilities to mobile devices, making them capable of proactively making decisions based on your user profile.

If Samsung’s project goes well, the company will likely extend adaptive AI to more features and options on your Galaxy phone. This could lead to a future where the very existence of the Settings menu is redundant. However, it’s still too early to talk about such a drastic change. After all, AI should be able to cover any configuration requirements you want to change for that.

No date for the arrival of the feature yet

There is still no date for the arrival of the AI-powered predictive tweaking for Settings. We’ll likely hear more about this in the coming months. One UI 7 is coming next year, but leaks haven’t mentioned anything about a similar feature. So, we’ll likely have to wait a while to see the initiative become a reality.
