Samsung’s Sketch to Image Will Be More Capable on the Galaxy S25

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series will be here in exactly a week, which means that we can start counting down to the launch of the most anticipated Android lineup of the year. We already know quite a lot about the upcoming devices, so all we’re waiting for is for things to become official—a few surprises won’t hurt either.

Ahead of that launch, Samsung has detailed more regarding one major Galaxy AI feature, and that’s Sketch to Image. True to the emphasis that Samsung has placed on Galaxy AI ahead of January 22nd’s Samsung Unpacked event, Sketch to Image is going to become a lot more capable than it was before.

I think most Android enthusiasts have a good idea of what Sketch to Image is all about, and if not, the name is telling. However, if that isn’t enough, let me give you the low-down. It’s a feature that’s part of the Galaxy AI suite that lets you draw a rough sketch and finalize it into a proper image using the magical power of AI.

The thing is, the way things are, you have to be able to draw a sketch accurately enough for Galaxy AI to be able to tell what you want it to draw. Using the image above, let’s say you want to draw a cat in a spacesuit, but you can sketch a cat a lot better than you can draw a spacesuit. If the AI can’t interpret your terrible attempts at a spacesuit, you won’t get the result that you’re looking for.

Well, Samsung has just detailed one of the major improvements that are going to be coming to Sketch to Image on the Galaxy S25, and likely One UI 7 as a whole. The feature will become multimodal, which allows you to sketch and then use a text prompt to give Galaxy AI further details on how you want the final product to turn out. So, you can finally just sketch your cat and then type in “space suit”. Nice and easy.

Galaxy AI is nice and all, but some people just want to see more images of the hardware, and if that’s the case, then you’re in luck. Esteemed leaker, Evan Blass, has just shared two exclusive promo images for the upcoming devices. The pictures don’t particularly reveal anything new, but it is nice to see the phones all dressed up for the cameras.

With the Galaxy S25 Ultra images above, we see those rounded corners once again. For someone who has always liked the blocky look of the Ultra phones, I have to admit that the mild redesign has started to grow on me. We also get a little glimpse at the Now Bar.

We see a similar image showing the Galaxy S25 and S25+ design, which is the same design that we’ve been used to from the South Korean OEM for the last several years. We see the navy blue colorway in the foreground and a minor look at a silver-toned option in the back.
