The first two Sonic movies have already caused a stir in the video game adaptation world, and there are high hopes that the third instalment will not just continue that trend, but smash past it.
That’s because the main foe of this film is Shadow the Hedgehog, one of the most popular characters in the franchise thanks to his powerful skills, tragic backstory and, of course, his legendary edge lord attitude – never forget the quote from his game about the “DAMN fourth chaos emerald”.
Add to that the fact that the action superstar (and the nicest guy in Hollywood) Keanu Reeves is voicing him and that Jim Carrey will return to play not one, but two Robotniks, and you’ve got the recipe for a killer geeky film.

When will Sonic the Hedgehog 3 tickets go on sale?
Mark your calendars and celebrate with a piping hot chili dog, because Sonic the Hedgehog 3 tickets will hit shelves on Friday 29 November 2024.
We believe this is the same date for both UK and US cinema chains. However, we don’t yet know what time they’ll hit shelves – we’ll update this article when we learn more.
The film will officially release on 21 December 2024, just in time for the festive season.
