In the market for a pristine example of one of the best Porsche 911s in recent memory? How about a six of them?
A collection of six GT models from the sports car’s 991 generation will be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s during its “Six Car, One Truck” sale next month in Munich. Each example promises to be in tip-top shape, with none having more than delivery mileage on the odometer.
Porsche has been building GT, or Gran Turismo, models since the 1950s. These high-performance, homologation variants are the closest thing the marque offers to a street-legal race car. The first 911 GT was the 1973 Carrera RS and the variants have only become more popular in the decades since its introduction.

This class of 911 certainly seems to have captured the imagination of the unnamed owner of the sextet headed for auction. They have compiled a collection of some of the most desirable variants from the 991 generation. Oddly, acquiring rather than driving, appears to be their passion. RM Sotheby’s notes that none of the cars have more than 31 miles on the odometer, an unimaginably low number for vehicles that were designed to whipped around a racetrack at high speeds.
The set of GT cars includes just one example from the generation’s first half, a white 2016 911 R, which is a more exclusive and refined version of 911 GT3. The generation’s second half is much better represented. From the 2018 model year, there is an Indian Red 911 GT3 with the Club Sport package, a black 911 GT3 Touring, a white 911 GT3 Cup still covered in protective tape, and a black 911 GT3 Cup R that was designed to compete in Group GT3. Rounding things out is a Racing Yellow 2019 911 GT3 RS equipped with the lightweight Weissach performance package.

Also included in the auction is a custom MAN TGX truck and Rolfo Auriga. The truck figures to come in handy if the winner of the auction wants to take multiple cars to their next track day.
Unlike other similar auctions of collection, it’s all or nothing with this set. All six 911 GT models, and the truck and trailer combo, are being sold as a single lot. RM Sotheby’s hasn’t announced a pre-sale estimate, but we imagine the collection is all but guaranteed to fetch a seven-figure gavel price.
