Target is currently selling the Google Pixel 9 for just $549. That is going to save you $250 off of the Pixel 9, and it also makes it just $50 more than the Pixel 9a. And honestly, if I were looking at buying the Pixel 9a, I’d spend the extra $50 to get the Pixel 9. Since it is a much better phone in many respects.
The Google Pixel 9 was released last August, so it is still relatively new. It does sport a 6.3-inch FHD+ display, powered by the Tensor G4 processor with 12GB of RAM. It also starts at 128GB of storage and has a pretty beefy 4,700mAh capacity battery inside.
On the camera front, Google has equipped the Pixel 9 with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 48-megapixel ultrawide. There is also a 10.5-megapixel front-facing camera on-board.
Google’s Pixel 9 is a really good option for those who aren’t looking for all the bells and whistles. However, it does have some really cool features, like Call Screening, Direct My Call and more. Personally, I love sending these scam calls through Call Screening, and seeing how fast they hang up.
Google will also be updating the Pixel 9 for the next 7 years, until 2031. So there’s still plenty of Android, Security and Pixel updates to come. The Pixel 9 does come in four colors: Obsidian, Porcelain, Wintergreen and Peony. With a matte frame a glossy back. The lighter colors are less likely to show fingerprints, as we found out on our Wintergreen review unit.
