Stearns County commissioner Perske honored for transportation advocacy – St. Cloud Live


STEARNS COUNTY — Joe Perske, a Stearns County commissioner, has been awarded a transportation advocacy award from the Minnesota Transportation Alliance, according to a release.

The award honors Perske’s efforts in championing several projects in and around Stearns County over the past 20 years.

  • Improvements to Interstate 94
  • Expansion

    of Minnesota Highway 23

  • The

    St. Cloud beltway

    and a St. Cloud river crossing

  • Enhancements to Town Line Road
  • Upgrades to the St. Cloud Airport
  • Extension of the Northstar Rail

In addition to his advocacy, Perkse has served on several organizations, including:

He also actively lobbies for transportation projects in St. Paul and Washington, D.C., according to the release.

Perske was

recently reelected

to the Stearns County Commission in the November general election.

The Minnesota Transportation Alliance is a nonprofit statewide organization dedicated to advancing transportation initiatives.
