The Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) is playing a key role in supporting India’s tech startup ecosystem through its Centres of Entrepreneurship (CoEs). These CoEs are located across the country and focus on emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, IoT, and more. STPI has set up 24 CoEs that bring together industry, government, and academia.
The goal is to help startups develop innovative solutions using advanced tech. Each CoE provides crucial resources such as funding, mentorship, lab facilities, and market access.
Stpi’s CoEs empower tech innovation
So far, the CoEs have supported 665 startups, leading to the creation of 707 new products and 399 IPR filings. Some notable examples include:
– STPI NEURON in Mohali, which is driving progress in AI and IoT
– The MedTech CoE in Lucknow, focused on affordable medical devices and remote monitoring
– STPI FinBlue in Chennai and STPI FinGlobe in Gandhinagar, supporting fintech startups
– STPI IMAGE CoE in Hyderabad for gaming, VFX, and AR/VR startups
By providing the necessary infrastructure and support, the CoEs are enabling startups to innovate and scale up. STPI plans to expand the CoEs into smaller cities to further promote entrepreneurship and nurture local talent.
As India continues to embrace emerging technologies, STPI’s initiatives are set to be a game changer. The CoEs will help drive innovation, support world-class startups, and accelerate inclusive growth across the nation. With plans to back a large number of tech startups, STPI is positioning India to become a global leader in the digital economy.
