Ahead of CES next month, TCL has already unveiled its first portable projector – the TCL Projector A1.
The new Projector A1 boasts 1080p resolution and 360 ISO Lumen brightness. It’s not the brightest projector on the planet, but this is a small, portable projector. So that is expected. It is also able to project an image of 45 inches up to 120 inches, which is just absolutely massive, considering how small this projector is.
TCL has also included two independent 8W speakers in the wrap of the A1, which is going to provide some really good audio, actually. There’s Dolby Audio processing, but not Dolby Atmos. That’s expected, given the price and size here.
TCL’s Projector A1 is powered by Google TV
As you would expect from TCL, the Projector A1 is powered by Google TV. That will give you the ability to easily run all sorts of apps on your projector. That includes Hulu, Peacock, Paramount Plus, YouTube and much more.
Google Assistant is on-board as well, so you can use your voice to quickly find shows, play music, and even control your smart home with ease.
This is a great-looking portable projector that is going to be perfect for use indoors and outdoors. But make sure you put it into a dark room since the brightness is not as high as some other projectors that are not portable.
The A1 does look a lot like a portable speaker, and with the two 8W speakers inside, it’s probably a more portable speaker than a portable projector. But still, it is really cool, and it has RGB lights on the side, too.
You can purchase the TCL Projector A1 today from retailers like Amazon, and it costs just $499, just in time for Black Friday. This would make for a great gift this holiday season.
