Now that Black Friday sales are in full swing, even the most-expensive Apple products are receiving steep discounts. The Apple Watch Ultra 2 smartwatch (49mm), normally $700, has hit a new low of $620 — representing a savings of $179. Just make sure to tick the on-page coupon to access the lowest price, which is only available in a blue ocean color scheme band. Other band options cost more.
The Ultra 2, which debuted in 2023, arrives with 64GB of storage, average 36-hour battery life as well as a host of other improvements over the original Ultra model. What we particularly like is the Double Tap feature that lets you go hands-free, essentially being able to pick up the phone or play music by only making light gestures. The screen is also known for being incredibly bright with more accurate dictation.
Black Friday Apple Watch Deals
Apple Watch deals are few and far between, but our shopping experts have found some Black Friday treats to share.
Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.
During her review CNET editor at large Lexy Savvides wrote: “The Ultra 2 feels like it’s forging its own path compared with other sports and endurance watches because you can wear it everywhere, for almost any activity”. She went on to add: “Most importantly, it’s a true smartwatch: there are no compromises on app support, cellular connectivity or that seamless second screen experience that you often miss out on with competing sports watches”.
Why this deal matters
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 was first released in September 2023, and since then it’s only dropped marginally, usually somewhere between $50 to $100. This is the steepest price cut we’ve seen applied, thanks to Amazon’s discount and the on-page coupon. The prices fluctuate all the time, so if you’ve been in the market for a new smartwatch now is the time to act. We don’t expect it to drop any further over Black Friday, Cyber Monday or the holiday season.
The good news is that if this particular offer isn’t for you, there are plenty of Black Friday Apple Watch deals now live across the biggest retailers. Whether it be the Apple Watch Series 10, Series 9, SE or otherwise, there’s some sort of reduction in place.
