Google has been giving us a taste of Gemini 2.0 over the past several weeks, and that continues today. We’ve already seen some new models hitting the chatbot like Gemini 2.0 Experimental Advanced and Gemini 2.0 Flash. Well, Google just launched two new Gemini models to the app.
The Gemini app is still one of the best ways to access Google’s AI chatbot. So, it makes sense that Google is releasing these experimental models to the mobile version as well as the web version. We’re not sure how many Gemini 2.0 models Google will release, so download the app and join in on the fun.
Google releases new models to the Gemini app
The first model that Google is releasing is called Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental. As the name suggests, this is an experimental model, so you should expect some issues here and there. Be that as it may, you can still expect it to be a powerful model.
Google says that this model is great for coding along with processing “complex prompts.” Being able to handle complex prompts is well-sought-after, this means that it’ll be able to perform better as an AI agent. Along with being available in the Gemini app, it’s also available in Google AI Studio and Vertex AI.
Second model
As for the second model, Google is releasing Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking Experimental. What this model lacks in a catchy name, it makes up for in sheer power. Google says that it’s currently ranked as the “world’s best model,” and you’re able to try it out for free.
Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking Experimental is a model that’s built on Gemini 2.0 Flash, so you know that it’s powerful and snappy. Along with that, this model is designed to break down its prompts into a series of steps in order to provide higher-quality results.
Additionally, it will show you its thought process, so you’ll be able to see how it came to its conclusion. That’s neat because, if the model happens to give an inaccurate answer, you’ll be able to look through the thought process and see where it went wrong.
Google is releasing these models to the app today, so you should be able to see them. If you don’t, make sure to update your Gemini app.
