Apple recently introduced the iPhone 16e as the fifth member of the iPhone 16 series, which consists of the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max. The latest pocket-friendly iPhone variant arrived with a lot of upgrades as compared to its predecessor, the iPhone SE 2022. Apart from the usual hardware upgrades, the new model offers Apple’s Visual Intelligence features through its Action Button. Now, a report by Daring Fireball suggests that Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max variants will also offer Visual Intelligence features via a future software update.
The iPhone 15 Pro models will get Visual Intelligence, Apple’s Google Lens-like utility soon
Some Apple representatives have told the source that iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models will soon get Apple’s Visual Intelligence features. A future software update will deliver these features to the aforementioned older iPhones soon.
Apple originally introduced the Visual Intelligence feature with the iPhone 16 lineup in September last year. It is a feature that you can trigger using the dedicated Camera Control button. But with the launch of the iPhone 16e, Apple has made it possible to offer this functionality using the Action Button, which is present on the iPhone 15 Pro models.
iOS 18.4 version could bring this feature to older iPhones
This suggests that Apple’s Visual Intelligence feature, which is a Google Lens-like functionality for Android devices, could work with the iPhone 15 Pro series. As per the source, the users would be able to launch Visual Intelligence from the Control Center on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max variants.
Unfortunately, Apple hasn’t yet revealed which update will bring the much-anticipated feature to the iPhone 15 Pro series. However, we can expect it to launch in one of the iOS beta builds for developers very soon. Then, the Cupertino tech giant could launch it for all the users in late March or early April. The upcoming iOS 18.4 update could bring the Visual Intelligence features to developers very soon.
