The Launch Date And Design For The Vivo iQOO 13 Are Official

Vivo’s subbrand iQOO tends to go under the radar quite a bit, but if you take a little time out of your busy day to pay attention to what they’re doing, I think you’ll probably like what you see. For me, flagship specs mixed with a relatively minimalist (yet not boring) design do the trick.

If you loved the iQOO 12, get ready, because the iQOO 13 is coming this month and that’s been made official by the brand itself, along with the design for the upcoming smartphone. However, its launch is going to clash with the launch of another popular device, so it’ll be a busy day.

Vivo Announces The iQOO 13 Launch For October 30th; The Same Day As The Honor Magic 7 Family

As if October wasn’t stacked with enough flagship launches to potentially last an entire year, another one has just been confirmed. Two new flagship chips are on the table this month and it explains why all these brands are rushing to grab a slice. In this case, it is Vivo’s subbrand iQOO that has just confirmed that it is going to be bringing its iQOO 13 smartphone to market by the end of the month.

To be exact, the iQOO 13 is going to arrive on October 30th, though it seems set for a Chinese release first, as things typically are with most of the big manufacturers out of that country.

This does mean that the very end of the month is bound to be extremely busy. October 30th won’t just be bringing the new iQOO device but the Honor Magic 7 series as well. And then a single day after that, the OnePlus 13 is going to show up too. Three flagships in two days is the definition of busy.

The iQOO 13 Retains Its Predecessor’s DNA But Adds A Little To Stand Out

The iQOO 13 is a tad different from the iQOO 12. The camera module is in the same spot, but on closer inspection, the actual layout of the lenses and the flash change for a more symmetrical look. That’d almost be the entire list of noticeable changes, but it also seems to gain a notification bar running around part of the camera module. Are we bringing back notification lights? Because if we are, I’m on board.

It’s a similar design but better in the few things that it upgrades, so there’s not much to complain about. The device will come in black, green, and silver colors, with a white option that comes with the BMW M Motorsport branding that made the iQOO 12 iconic.

We do know some of the specifications to expect and the device seems set to be a monster—which makes its “Monster Inside” tagline for this year more than a boast. It’ll have the newly-announced Snapdragon 8 Elite, a 6.82-inch OLED screen, and a massive 6,150 mAh battery (the biggest in any Vivo flagship) capable of being charged at 120W watts.
