The One UI 7 Control Center revealed in a Galaxy S25 Ultra mockup

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series and One UI 7 are expected to release next year. However, a leak has revealed the One UI 7 Control Center in a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra mockup.

Samsung One UI 7 Control Center revealed

We exclusively revealed the black variant of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Samsung may launch the Galaxy S25 series in January or early February. Incidentally, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S24 as well as the Galaxy S23 series in January 2024 and January 2023, respectively.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra has uniformly flat edges, perhaps copying the Pixel 9’s design, which may have been inspired by the iPhone’s design. The upcoming flagship smartphone from Samsung would run One UI 7 out of the box.

Serial tipster Ice Universe has leaked a mockup of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. What’s interesting is the screen content. It seems to show the One UI Control Center. Needless to say, this does not appear to belong to One UI 6.1.1, which is the latest version of the custom Android skin.

The UI design philosophy of the new One UI 7 Control Center reportedly seems inspired by iOS 18. Samsung has extensively rounded corners, ensured uniform control widget sizes, deployed a split notification panel, and finally, there’s liberal use of transparency. All these elements may offer iPhone users a familiar UI, should they wish to switch to Android.

The latest leak reaffirms that the One UI 7 has a thoroughly overhauled UI and not just under-the-hood improvements. Samsung may have delayed the release of the latest One UI update to ensure all these design elements work without glitches.

When will Samsung release One UI 7?

The Control Center is seen running on a mockup of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. In other words, the stable version of the OS would be running on the upcoming flagship smartphone right out of the box.

One UI 7 would be based on Android 15. The latest leak reconfirms that Samsung is trying to add a lot of customization options to One UI 7.

Recent reports have suggested the One UI 7 Beta may arrive at the end of the year. Moreover, Samsung has reportedly pledged to kickstart the public One UI 7 update rollout after the new Galaxy S launch next year.
