APPLE is quietly cooking up some fresh gadgets behind closed doors – and some of them might land in 2025.
Here are four of the most headline-grabbing Apple tech items rumoured to debut this year.
Apple ‘Command Centre’
A brand new Apple gadget might be in the works – and better yet, just a few months away.
That’s according to a Bloomberg report that claims Apple is working on a smart home “command center” device.
The product is expected to be some kind of AI-powered, Siri-toting smart home display.
It’s potentially similar to Amazon’s Alexa-powered Echo Show smart screen devices.
The report says that the gadget will measure around six inches, look a bit like a square iPad, and feature a camera for FaceTime calls.
It’s also tipped to feature speakers (so it can function as a music device).
The device is rumoured to land in March 2025 in two colours, and will support smart Apple Intelligence features.
That means you should be able to use it to control your favourite apps, as well as other smart home gadgets in your house.
Sadly there’s no word on pricing or a real name just yet.
Apple Camera
Net up is a report from long-time Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, of TF Securities.
He reckons that Apple is working on a smart home camera.
This would sit on your shelf or a windowsill and capture video, relaying it to your smartphone.
It’s intended as a home security device, and could be controlled by the iPhone – and potentially Apple’s ‘Command Centre’, the first entry in this article.
Apple Doorbell
Another rumoured gadget for Apple in 2025 is a smart camera doorbell.
These devices have been popularised by Amazon’s Ring brand, but there are plenty of gadget makers offering such items.
Apple’s – according to Bloomberg – is expected to support Face ID, allowing you to unlock your door just like an iPhone.
This would also mean getting a smart lock, which you may not currently have.
iPhone 17
Of course the big Apple gadget of 2025 is sure to be the iPhone 17.
Apple hasn’t confirmed the device, but it seems inevitable that we’ll see it later in the year.
The Sun has predicted the iPhone 17 release date already: we expect it to be in stores on Friday, September 19, 2025.
It’s too early to know exactly what’s coming with the iPhone 17.
There are rumours that the usual Plus model will be scrapped.

Sadly we won’t know for sure until the official Apple event, which is still months away.
