The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) will hold a meeting on Thursday, Oct. 24 in Rockville as part of its statewide investment tour to engage all 23 counties and Baltimore City, according to a press release.
MDOT said it will discuss its Draft Consolidated Transportation Program for Fiscal Years 2025 to 2030. Maryland Transportation Secretary Paul J. Wiedefeld and other MDOT representatives will outline the investments and discuss transportation priorities, according to the release.
The meeting will update local officials and the public about the plan and receive people’s input.
The budget plan details a six-year capital budget investment of $18.9 billion in the state’s transportation network, according to the release.
MDOT’s meeting in the County will be at 7 p.m. at the Stella Werner Council Office Building’s third-floor Hearing Room on 100 Maryland Avenue in Rockville. To view the live stream tomorrow, click here.
MDOT said after gathering the inputs, it will finalize the plan later this fall and submit it to the legislature in January for consideration during the 2025 General Assembly session.
The meetings are part of MDOT’s engagement process in all 23 Maryland counties and Baltimore City to discuss the spending plan and receive input from local officials and the public.
