UGREEN is no stranger when it comes to chargers. The company has made a number of powerful and interesting chargers in the past. But at CES 2025, the company has unveiled its most powerful charger to date. This comes in the form of the new UGREEN Nexode desktop charger that offers a power output of 500W.
Charge five laptops
The amount of portable gadgets we bring around with us these days is astounding. There are smartphones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, wireless earbuds/headphones, power banks, and more. This means that each device needs its own charger which can get incredibly messy.
With the new UGREEN 500W Nexode desktop charger, the company has simplified the charging process. This charger comes with a total of 6 ports – five of which are USB-C along with a single USB-A port. This means that it is capable of juicing a total of five laptops at once!
The charger supports USB-PD 3.1 and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. One of the ports is capable of delivering up to 240W of power, while the remaining ports share 260W. This means that you can use the top port to charge a more power-hungry laptop at 240W, and use the remaining four USB-C ports to charge your laptops. Note that these remaining four ports will only go up to a max of 100W, even if you have two devices plugged in. The USB-A port, on the other hand, maxes out at 20W.
Seeing as how it was designed to be a desktop charger, it might be a bit too heavy/bulky to take with you on the go. It is a pity since the power output would definitely make it perfect for traveling with a group of friends or family.
Not just laptops
If you have other devices that need a powerful charger, the UGREEN 500W Nexode charger can handle more than just laptops. UGREEN is claiming that its new charger is powerful enough that it can even charge power-hungry devices like an e-bike.
The point UGREEN is trying to make is that this is such an incredibly powerful charger that you don’t need to feel limited to just using it with mobile devices. Unfortunately, UGREEN has not mentioned how much its new charger will cost. However, based on some of the company’s previous chargers, like the 300W Nexode GaN charger, it probably won’t come cheap. The pricing details should be revealed in March 2025, which is when the company plans on releasing it.
