Ulefone has announced the Armor X31 Pro, a new budget-friendly smartphone. The company says that this is the very first 5G rugged smartphone in its budget-friendly Armor X series.

If you check out the images in the gallery below the article, you’ll notice that it offers a rather interesting design. It has a circular camera island on the back, with an interesting layout. What caught our eyes the most was the backplate here. It has a very odd pattern, and yes, thouse are indents that you can feel.
The sides of the phone have a ribbed pattern, of sorts, just to provide more grip. The corners of the phone are reinforced, in case you drop it, and there is a flat display included on the front.
The phone comes with 8GB of RAM, which you can expand up to 16GB via virtual RAM. You’re also getting 256GB of internal storage, and that storage is expandable. The phone accepts microSD cards up to 2TB.
It includes a 6.56-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and comes with Android 14
A 6.56-inch display sits on the front here, and it offers a 120Hz refresh rate. The maximum brightness of this panel is 800 nits. Android 14 comes pre-installed on the device, by the way.
The Ulefone Armor X31 Pro is IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certified. In other words, it’s both water and dust-resistant, while it can also handle some drops, though that all depends on various factors. It is a rugged phone, though.
A 6,050mAh battery sits on the inside here, while the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 fuels this phone. There is also an IR blaster placed at the top of the phone. A 64-megapixel main camera is backed by a 25-megapixel Night Vision camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The device comes in Classic Black, Lightsome Green, and Few Orange colors. They’re all black, but the accents on the device are different (color-wise).
The device will go on sale on January 1, and it will be priced at $199.99. That’s only its initial price, though, as the device will be discounted at first. We’re not sure how long will this in initial sale last.
