An announcement on the official Facebook page of Cumberland Homesteads reads as:
**ATTENTION!! IMPORTANT APPLE FESTIVAL INFORMATION**
We have had an extraordinary amount of rain overnight on the festival grounds & more is expected. But the 20th Annual Homesteads Apple Festival is NOT cancelled!!
*VENDORS: you need to make sure your setup is securely fastened to the ground. Vendors will NOT be in your assigned space. All vendors are being placed along the gravel driveway in the festival grounds on a first come, first served basis.
*ATTENDEES: we will still have food vendors, apples, apple pies & other items for sale. Entertainment might not be possible as the sound equipment may not be installed. The Homesteads Apple Festival Pageant has already been moved inside Homestead Elementary.
