VIDEO: Marshfield boys lacrosse falls in triple-OT in D2 state final
Senior Brendan Harty scored with 2:05 left in the third extra period Saturday to give the Lancers an 11-10 win over the Rams in the title game.
The high school spring sports season came to an end two weeks ago.
As the summer heat rages on, let’s take a snapshot of the 2024 boys lacrosse campaign. As All-Scholastic lists will be published in due time, votes came in waves for our Postseason Player of the Year poll.
Norwell High’s Aedan Coyle collected over 2,367 fan votes (46% of the overall poll) to earn the honor.
Coyle, a senior captain, led the Clippers to the Division 4 Final Four this spring. He scored in the season finale against No. 3 Sandwich and was a consistent scoring threat as Norwell ripped off convincing victories by differentials of 15, 14 and 8 goals in the first three rounds.
BC High’s Charlie McCullough, Scituate High’s Willy Robinson, Whitman-Hanson’s Connor McCarthy and Marshfield’s Nic Cupples also received significant support in the voting.
