A BMW driver has been left red-faced after trying to show off in front of a large crowd at a car meet.
Caught on video and uploaded to Instagram by user @_miles_perhour_, the incident resulted in quite a bit of damage.
The video is shot using a smartphone and shows cars at a car meet lining up to wow the crowd with straight-line burnouts.
At the front of the queue is a white Abarth 500 with two people onboard.
The Fiat revs its engine and starts to move off, but for some reason comes to a stop soon afterwards.
A black BMW 6 Series behind it lines up to start and revs its engine, then begins to move off itself.
However, it quickly becomes clear that the driver either hasn’t seen that the white Abarth has stopped or has misjudged the Beemer’s power.
The BMW driver tries to stop but is travelling too fast and smashes into the back of the Abarth with a sickening crunch.

The crowd gasps at the smash before moving in to film it with their smartphones and there is visible damage left on the Abarth’s rear bumper.
The two women inside the Abarth climb out and the driver is visibly angry at the driver of the BMW before walking off.
People had very little time for the BMW driver’s actions in the comments section on Instagram.
One said: “Classic BMW drivers haven’t got a clue.”
Another said: “Ahahah finance will get you a car but not talent.”
A third pointed out: “It’s a car meet, insurance will refuse to pay 😂”
