With the temperatures continuing to plummet as we head towards winter many drivers are starting to face the timeless issue of foggy windows.

Fog is often created when moisture gets trapped inside a car as the chilly weather draws in.

This condensation can slow you down on your busy morning commute, but it is also dangerous for drivers because it blocks their view of the road.

For many, the best way to get rid of the cloudy conditions is to whack up the heating and let it essentially help the fog disappear.

But Hyundai recommend an even easier trick which can be done in seconds and doesn’t help to drain your fuel load and costing you cash.

Many Hyundai cars have a special button on the armrest which winds down your windows.

This extra air flow helps to combat the fog and quickly flushes it away from windscreens and makes it safe to drive.

Often cars also have another simple button to press which can make warm air pump through the car within seconds.

Hyundai say many times motorists turn on the heater but can forget to move the vents so they are pointing in the correct direction.

Allowing the air to flow towards the windscreen and side windows directly can greatly speed up the defogging process.

It comes as drivers have also been urged to turn off a summer dashboard setting as soon as possible to help boost their heating for free without using any extra fuel.

All it takes is the press of a button to keep your motor toasty and save you money at the same time.

Motorists have also been urged to look into a “ten minute trick” to warm up their car this winter.

A car hack specialist also revealed how starting up a car in the cold can sometimes be a struggle but with a few simple steps it can be a breeze.

She recommends investing in a few small gadgets to make chilly mornings slightly more bearable.

From a plug-in dashboard heater to a windshield cover, drivers can snap up loads of bargain car gear on the cheap.
