What To Watch This Week On Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Apple TV And More – Forbes

I’ve been writing a weekend streaming guide each weekend for some time now, and I decided that I might as well do a weekly streaming guide as well. This guide covers new shows, movies, episodes and so forth Monday through Friday (specifically Monday February 3rd through Friday February 7th) across a bunch of streaming services, from Netflix to Apple TV and more. This guide is structured a little differently, as I tackle each day of the week one at a time.

There’s quite a few new shows and movies coming out this week, including the return of some beloved series and the streaming debut of one film that looks genuinely great. Read on to see what’s coming out over the next few days, and let me know if I missed anything!

You can check out this past weekend’s streaming guide right here.

ForbesWhat To Watch This Weekend: New Shows And Movies To Stream On Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Apple TV And More

Monday February 3rd

New York Undercover S1-4 (Hulu)

Looking for some 90s-era police drama? New York Undercover should scratch that itch. The FOX cop drama was produced by Dick Wolf of Law & Order fame and takes place in the same fictional universe as that show and its spinoffs, Chicago, FBI and Homicide: Life on the Street. The series starred Malik Yoba as Detective J.C. Williams and Michael DeLorenzo as Detective Eddie Torres, two undercover cops in NYC assigned to tackle an assortment of violent crimes and drug-related cases.

Common Side Effects – 2-part Season Premiere (Max)

A very quirky adult animated series, the show follows two high school friends, Marshall and Frances, who reconnect and discover a miracle drug that can cure all illnesses. They also uncover a pharmaceutical conspiracy to suppress information about the cure. The first two (of four) episodes land on Monday.

Bogotá: City of the Lost (Netflix)

The story of a South Korean man who moves to Bogotá and finds himself caught up in the Colombian black market.

Tuesday February 4th

Wicked Game: The Devil In The Desert (Hulu)

A true-crime documentary about a woman who is found zip-tied in the Mojave desert. She survives, providing key details in a horrific case.

Paradise – Episode 4 (Hulu)

The new show from Dan Fogelman is a twist on the political thriller, following a chief security agent (Sterling K. Brown) and the mystery of a murdered ex-president. There’s a pretty major twist at the end of the first episode, making this much more than meets the eye. I’ve seen the first episode and I enjoyed it, though I’m not entirely sold yet.

The Graham Norton Show (Netflix)

The popular BBC celebrity talk show comes to Netflix episodically as under-15-minute compilations of the show’s best moments.

Wednesday February 5th

In The Summers (Hulu)

I hadn’t heard of this Sundance award-winning film, but I was in tears by the end of the trailer which says a lot. The story follows two sisters, Violeta and Eva, as they visit their father first as young girls, then adolescents, then young women. Puerto Rican rapper René Pérez Joglar plays the father, Vicente, who lives in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The girls live in California, only seeing their father over the summers. The four-part film is the directorial debut of Alessandra Lacorazza. It looks incredibly powerful.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man – Episodes 3-5 (Disney+)

The new animated Marvel series is scoring big with critics. It’s releasing several episodes at a time. If you’re a Peter Park fan and enjoy vintage animation, swing on by.

Prime Target – Episode 4 (Apple TV)

A math-based thriller about prime numbers that should please both the math geeks and thriller fans alike. And anyone who enjoys staring into Leo Woodall’s dreamy blue eyes, of course.

Grimsburg – Season 1 (Netflix)

The first season of the John Hamm-led animated comedy/mystery series comes to Netflix just before the release of Season 2 on Hulu.

Thursday February 6th

Clean Slate (Prime Video)

George Wallace plays Harry, an old carwash owner, whose estranged child returns to his life. His son Desmond is now Desiree (Laverne Cox) a transwoman, and after decades apart the two have a lot of catching up to do as they work to patch up their relationship. It looks really funny. The premise is similar to Tim Allen’s new show Shifting Gears, though this looks better.

Invincible – Season 3 Premiere (Prime Video)

One of the best superhero shows on TV returns for its third season on Prime Video this week. Invincible’s third season has been a long time coming. If you like gritty, adult animated shows with excellent writing and a top-notch voice cast, check this one out.

Severance – Season 2, Episode 4 (Apple TV)

The #1 best series on TV right now returns for a fourth episode Thursday evening on Apple TV. I’ve seen the entire season already, and I can tell you that Episode 4 is absolutely incredible and wildly different from anything you’ve seen so far. You can read my spoiler-free Season 2 review right here.

The Pitt – Episode 6 (HBO/Max)

I’m not a huge fan of medical dramas, but I absolutely love The Pitt on Max. It’s well-written, engaging, has a great cast of characters and manages to juggle a bunch of stories really, really well. The series takes a 24-style format, giving us one hour in an ER shift each episode. Read my review here.

Traitors – Season 3, Episode 7 (Peacock)

A reality show in the format of an extended murder mystery game, The Traitors takes place in an old Scottish castle as 20 contestants scheme and collaborate for a $250,000 prize.

The Takedown: American Aryans (Max)

A documentary about one of America’s most disturbing domestic terror threats, this Max Original follows the story of the Aryan Brotherhood from the late 2000s to present day.

The Åre Murders – Season 1 (Netflix)

This Swedish detective series follows a Stockholm detective under internal investigation who takes a vacation to a ski resort to unwind, but finds herself caught up in a new mystery when a young girl disappears. If you like Nordic crime dramas, this should be right up your alley.

Friday February 7th

Newtopia Season Premiere (Prime Video)

Newtopia is a South Korean romantic fantasy television series starring Park Jeong-min and Jisoo that’s half love-story, half zombie apocalypse. Nobody does zombies as well as the South Koreans (Train To Busan and Kingdom are unrivaled) and this looks like a fun, comedic take on the genre.

Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur – Season 2 (Disney+)

One of Marvel’s highest-scoring shows on Rotten Tomatoes, this one is decidedly geared at a younger audience. 13-year-old supergenius Lunella and her 10-ton Tyrannosaurus rex work together to protect the Lower East Side from bad guys. It has a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, and audiences give it a 90%. Not too shabby!

Dexter: Original Sin – Episode 9 (Paramount+)

I’m totally hooked on the new Dexter prequel, Original Sin. It somehow perfectly captures the vibe of the original show’s earlier seasons, and the younger cast does a bang-up job. You can read my review here.
