Xiaomi 15 Ultra flaunts its camera oreo in hands-on image

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra has just surfaced in a hands-on image, which is the best look at the device that we’ve seen thus far. As a reminder, this phone is expected to launch next month, alongside the global variant of the Xiaomi 15.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra appears in a hands-on image

If you check out the image below this paragraph, you’ll see what leaked. That camera island on the back is in focus yet again. It’s huge, as it was on last year’s model, and it includes four cameras. Leica branding is also easily visible.

The main camera obviously sits on the left side. Ultrawide and telephoto cameras are located next to it, while the periscope telephoto camera is placed in the top-right corner.

That camera oreo protrudes on the back quite a bit, while you’ll also notice a red accent around the module itself. You’ll also notice that Xiaomi is looking to bring the design of this phone in line with the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro.

What do I mean by that? Well, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will seemingly adopt the quad micro-curved design. In other words, its backplate will be slightly rounded on all sides, and chances are that the same will happen with the glass on the front. The display will be flat, though.

This phone is expected to arrive next month, likely during MWC 2025 in Barcelona

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is tipped to arrive during MWC 2025 in Barcelona next month. The company did confirm that it’s coming in February, but no exact time has been confirmed. The Xiaomi 15 already launched in China last year, but its global variant is expected to arrive alongside the ‘Ultra’ model. Chances are that the ‘Pro’ unit will stay exclusive to China.

This smartphone will almost certainly be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, just like its siblings. We’re expecting a large display on the front, with all the bells and whistles you’d expect out of a flagship panel.

A 50-megapixel main camera with a 1-inch type sensor will likely sit on the back. A 50-megapixel telephoto unit was also mentioned, and the same goes for a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The last camera on the back will be a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit.
